Around this time last year, I took a quick 4-day trip with my cousin to Reykjavik, Iceland for my 19th birthday. I had only thought about ever going to Iceland once when I was searching on Pinterest and saw pictures of the Blue Lagoon. While the trip destination was random, it was the best idea ever.
What I Did:
- Golden Circle Tour
- Thingvelllir National Park
- Geyser Hot Springs
- Gullfoss Waterfall
- Galaxy Pod Hostel
- Whale Watching
- Harpa Concert Hall
- See the Rainbow Road
- Blue Lagoon (highlight of my trip)
- Hallgrimskirkja
Blue Lagoon:
Iceland is home to one of the natrual wonders of the world. The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa located in Norðurljósavegur, Iceland and is one of Iceland’s most famous attractions. The water felt amazing and free facials left my skin feeling smooth. This retreat spa is a must when visiting Iceland.
Places to Eat:
- Reykjavik Street Food
- Cafe Babalu
- Hamborgarrabulla Tomasar
- Flatty Pizza (recommended by locals)
- Noodel Station (recommended by locals)
Harpa Concert Hall:
The most architecturally beautiful building I had ever seen.
What To Wear:
Iceland is an extremly cold country and layering is key.
