Vision

As we approach the end of the year we start to talk about New Year’s Resolutions. Whether your goals are travel more, read more, etc. vision boards can help you map out your goals.

What Is A Vision Board?

A vision board is typically a physical poster-sized board that has a collage of images and affirmations that relate to your goals. Studies have shown that putting your goals on paper visually can help you achieve them. Also, to clear up so much confusion a vision board and a mood board are not the same things. A mood baord is a board that helps you visualize aesthetics for decorating.

How To Start:

First, decided if you want your board to be physically or digital. Then, you should consider what your goals are and decide if you want your boar to be long-term or short-term. Next, it’s time to find some images for your board. You can use magazines, Instagram, and or Pinterest. The next step is to put your vision board somewhere that you will always see it. If you are constantly seeing your vision board then you are always being reminded of your goals.

For example, some of my goals in 2020 were to travel more, transfer to USC, start a blog, and focus on having better skincare routines. I got the majority of my images from Pinterest and try to create a color theme for my board so that my eyes would always be drawn to the board.

You Can Always Make Changes

Your vision board does not have to be set in stone. You can always make changes to your board be adding images or taking them away. Sometimes your goals change and it’s ok to start the whole board all over.
